Guarding Division

HM Security and Armed Response is well-versed in supplying physical guarding services that incorporate both armed and unarmed security officers, for the commercial, residential, retail and educational sectors. Expertly trained security personnel are deployed to several blue-chip clients.

Minimum Grade C security officers are posted, unless otherwise requested. All staff are thoroughly vetted, and criminal clearance checks are carried out prior to deployment.

Regular service evaluations are conducted to ensure high service delivery.

All sites are backed up by Armed Reaction, technology and emergency response services.

HM Security and Armed Response maintains strict recruiting protocols including interviews, reference checking and registration verification. As part of the strict truth and verification procedures, our staff undergoes pre-employment polygraph tests as well as random on-site polygraph tests. Our online digital fingerprinting and criminal record checking system are linked to the SAPS AFIS database.

Officer training is site specific and include fire, first aid and access control skills. All on-site training is done by Grade A instructors where job-specific site instructions are formulated, including incident handling procedures, contingency evacuation procedures, and fire and risk management solutions.

The Operations Division conducts daily inspections, parades and operations debriefings. Management relations and reporting is an integral part of our guarding service. Our guards are incentivized to use our whistleblowing hotline. We have performance initiatives in place, and we reward our staff for successful arrests.
